Endy Zemenides is the Executive Director of the Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC). In his capacity as Executive Director, Endy oversees advocacy and public education initiatives on issues concerning U.S. interests in Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.

Endy is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, where he was previously an Emerging Leaders Fellow, and on the Board of Advisors for the Foundation for Defense of Democracies’ Turkey Program. His policy experience also includes service as Senior Advisor to Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias; participation in the Aspen Institute’s Socrates Program; service on the editorial board and board of advisors of the National Strategy Forum; and lecturing in international relations and American foreign policy in DePaul University’s political science department. Endy presently serves on the Board of Directors for New York’s Spring Bank, and on the Board of Directors for College Year in Athens.  He is a regular contributor in Greece’s leading daily newspaper Kathimerini.

On May 17, 2022, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis bestowed Endy with the insignia of the Commander of the Order of the Phoenix on behalf of the President of the Hellenic Republic.

Endy received his bachelor of arts in political science from DePaul University, his masters in the Theory and Practice of Human Rights from the University of Essex (UK), and his juris doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as a fellow for the Harrison Institute for Public Law and an editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law.
